Greeting from the President

We have accepted the candidates for nurses and care workers from other countries following EPA since 2009.
It must be very hard to get the national qualifications in Japan whose language and culture are totally different from your countries even though you are professionally qualified in your countries. Thinking of myself in the same situation as yours I can imagine how tough it would be. I would like to pay my respects to your decision. This is the main reason that we started to accept applicants, and now there are more than a hundred of candidates enrolled in our group.
I sincerely hope that you will spend the fruitful training period with us and your friends, make your dreams becoming a nurses or a care worker come true, and do great jobs in Japan.

Outline of Heisei Medical Welfare Group

There are 26 hospitals and 77 care facility in our group. Our hospitals specialize in Post-acute care(PAC*) and Sub-acute care(SAC*).
We accept patients who no longer require acute hospital care as soon as possible. We offer them treatment actively and intensive rehabilitation so that the patients are able to go back home in a short period of time.
In addition, we take care of patients at care facility after their being discharged from hospitals when it is necessary. We provide medical service and welfare which are needed in the Japanese aging society.
We have received many kinds of demand from communities since Hakuai Memorial Hospital was established in 1984. In the last 30 years we have expanded the numbers of hospitals and care facility in West Japan mainly, and also in the areas around Tokyo. Now there are more than ten thousands of employees as of May 2015.

  • PAC play a role that encourages the patients, who have difficulty in home discharge even after their completing medical treatment at acute care hospitals, to go back home by continuous treatment and rehabilitation.
  • SAC play a role that helps patients under medical treatment at home to being admitted to the hospitals when their conditions get worse. It offers medical treatment and rehabilitation and encourages them to go back home.
